šŸ’ If you are a bride-to-be, consider a wedding coordinator or planner

Updated: Apr 23

Why Future Brides and/or Engaged Sisters Should Consider Getting Their Own On the Day Wedding Coordinator/Wedding Planner.

When my Husband and I first got engaged in Portugal, I was thrilled to start planning our London wedding. I had a Pinterest board full of ideas and thought I could handle everything myself, especially as I organise large-scale Events professionally for a living.Ā  However, it didn’t take long before I realised we had A LOT to do during a super busy period. This included scouting dry hire and non-dry hire venues, researching and deciding on Sri Lankan & Portuguese Caterers (my husband is Sri Lankan), juggling dates and managing budgets, etc. It was A LOT as the Wedding day would involve quite a few moving parts and was across two locations. That’s when we decided to hire an On the Day Coordinator ourselves, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made. We knew we could trust her to deliver our vision and execute our schedule and she did.Ā

If you’re planning a wedding, I’d genuinely recommend at leastĀ consideringĀ getting an On the Day Coordinator, that's if you haven't already booked one. I have this conversation pretty regularly with Brides-to-be asĀ they are differentĀ from Venue coordinators. Venue coordinators represent the venue whilst On the Day Coordinators represents YOU. We also come in much earlier in your Wedding Planning Process. Also if culture is also important to you and your family, we have a deep appreciation of this too. Hiring an On the Day coordinator for a cultural wedding in the UK can be especially important due to the added layers of tradition, timing, family dynamics, and custom that are honoured. In essence, we can ensure tradition is respected and that everything stays on track as the day unfolds.
